Reproduction of the genuine Prestolite starter motor, commonly referred to as "long type". These reproductions are completely assembled from all new parts to high standards.
Note: Hitachi and Prestolite starter motors nor replacement parts are interchangeable, always check the type of starter motor used on your Harley before ordering. An original Hitachi starter is 80mm in diameter, has a 145mm housing length and two #10-24 UNF thru-bolts. An original Prestolite starters is 70mm in diameter, has a 173mm housing length and two 1/4-20 UNC thru-bolts.
