Compu-Fire's electronic voltage regulator is voltage output calibrated for maintenance free batteries. The regulator circuitry opens the charging system when the battery is fully charged, resulting in cooler stator operation and extended system life compared to the stock shunt style regulator, which fully loads stator by grounding the output at full charge. Regulators come in a billet aluminum housing with a chrome finish.
